John is a specialist Clinical Negligence solicitor.
He has worked at Longden Walker and Renney since July 2010, acting in a wide variety of Multi-Track Claims.
He has investigated Claims relating to substandard Gynaecology and Obstetrics, Paediatrics, General Surgery, Accident and Emergency Care, Orthopaedic Surgery, Urology, Infection Management and Nursing Care.
He has experience of appearing in the Coroner’s Court and has pursued Claims where the injured party has died, seeking compensation for relatives of the deceased. John has also acted on behalf of a number of patients who complained about the treatment that they received whilst they were serving prison sentences.
In addition, John has experience of having pursued Claims for damages under the Consumer Protection Act 1987 relating to Defective Medical Products (faulty hip prosthesis) and under the Data Protection Act (inappropriate disclosure of confidential information to a third party).
Speaking of his approach to his cases, John says that, “I try my best to be easy to talk to and sensitive to a client’s needs.”
Before joining Longden Walker and Renney, John worked in a specialist Employment Law firm for 5 years, acting on behalf of nurses, NHS staff, and employees of local authorities who sought compensation for sex discrimination. He was involved in work that led to millions of pounds of damages being paid. He also assisted in cases where issues were considered by the EAT, Court of Appeal and House of Lords.
