Employment Law specialist appointed to lead Dispute Resolution team in strategic expansion
LONGDEN, Walker and Renney is delighted to have appointed experienced solicitor Tom Behan as the head of our Dispute Resolution team, in a new phase of expansion for the department.
Tom, who joins us from Pepperell’s in Newcastle, has a strong track record in civil and commercial litigation. He has extensive experience handling a wide range of matters, including complex commercial disputes, business conflicts and employment law issues, acting for clients from initial instruction through to settlement or trial.
His appointment reflects our ambition to broaden the Dispute Resolution services we offer and deepen our presence across the North East, particularly within the region’s thriving business community.
Alongside his commercial litigation expertise, Tom brings specialist knowledge in Employment Law, an area we have identified as a key growth priority as we look to further support our expanding portfolio of commercial clients.
A clear and confident communicator with a pragmatic approach, Tom provides strategic, commercially-focused advice designed to achieve efficient and cost-effective outcomes. Having also gained experience in the insurance sector, he has a strong grounding in risk management and client-focused delivery in fast-paced environments.
Joint Managing Director Alixandra Cadden-Young believes the appointment represents a significant step forward for the department, which has grown organically into a three-man team since its launch in 2022.
