Legal Clerk – Wills, Trusts & Probate
A natural communicator and excellent problem solver, Maddie is taking the first steps of her legal career after earning a Masters in Law from Newcastle University, having graduated with a Politics degree from the University of York in 2024.
Maddie enjoys getting to know people and is well suited to her role in the Wills, Trust & Probate team, where she is responsible for fielding calls, organising meetings, preparing documents and arranging client files.
Away from work
What are your main interests or hobbies?
When I’m not catching up with friends or enjoying a good meal out, I like to stay active. You’ll often find me doing Pilates or at the gym! I also love to unwind by walking in countryside around Yarm, where I live with my family.
What music do you like – any specific genre or artists?
I love listening to any pop music – especially Taylor Swift and Sam Fender. I have seen both of them in concert.
What’s your favourite food?
I’m a vegetarian and love all aspects of food but particularly pizza and pasta. My favourite pizza is a Margherita with pineapple. Creamy mushroom pasta is another of my favourite dishes too.
What film or boxset would you recommend to others?
I like to watch a long-running box set and I’m a big fan of Grey’s Anatomy, The Vampire Diaries or Friends. I am partial to a Marvel movie but I really enjoy romcoms too – like How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days and Legally Blonde.
Do you have a favourite book and why?
I have been known to read quite a lot and although I don’t have a favourite book, I do like the Fantasy genre because it lets you escape into another world.
Is there a smartphone App you could not live without?
I must admit I’m a bit of a TikTok addict and I can end up scrolling for hours at videos that make me smile or keep me entertained.
