Clinical Negligence Paralegal
A friendly and supportive member of our Clinical Negligence team, Samantha helps to prepare and draft legal documents, liaises with clients and manages administrative tasks as we build a case file.
Having joined us as a Legal Clerk in 2010, she has worked hard to progress her career and enjoys helping people gain access to justice through her role as a Paralegal.
Away from work
A former Sunderland season ticket holder, Samantha loves football and enjoys going to watch games when she has the time. She also likes going to live music gigs. But her biggest thrill comes from organising family holidays for her husband and daughter, who recently joined her on a trip-of-a-lifetime to Lapland, where they enjoyed toboggan and sleigh rides and made some fantastic memories for life.
What music do you like – any specific genre or artists?
I prefer rock and punk, but I’m happy to listen to anything – it depends what mood I’m in. Squeeze are my favourites rock band and I like Bon Jovi and Green Day too. But that doesn’t mean you won’t find me listening to Steps or Busted.
How would you describe yourself in five words?
Kind, empathetic, patient, approachable and friendly.
What’s your favourite food?
I do love a good Italian – so probably any pizza or pasta dish.
What film or boxset would you recommend to others?
I don’t know why but I always find anything related to real life serial killers fascinating.
Do you have a favourite book and why?
I like to pick up anything that’s easy reading, especially when I’m relaxing on a sun lounger on holiday. I usually read the back of the book and see if it takes my fancy. Peter Reid’s autobiography is probably my favourite book as he’s a legend up here and it was really interesting and insightful.
Is there a smartphone App you could not live without?
I love listening to music so I’d have to say Spotify.
If you could go back in time, what advice would you give your younger self?
Don’t take anything for granted.
